KELLY College sent 48 squad members to the second weekend of the Devon County ASA Championships held at the Life Centre, Plymouth.
Among their successes were two national qualifying times, five championship wins, 21 golds and 217 personal bests.
National qualifying times were achieved by Taku Chaza in the 100m fly and Chloe Barrow in the 200m fly.
Championship wins were achieved by Stephanie Reynolds in the 200m free, 200m fly and the 100m backstroke and Milly Furneaux in the 50m and 100m breaststroke. Junior Championship winners were Cara Layden in the 200m free, Leah Picillo in the 200m IM and Chloe Barrow in the 200m fly.
Kelly College records were broken by Milly Furneaux who not only took the 16 year old age group records in the 50m and 100m breaststroke but also both open records as well with times of 33.02 and 1.10.82. Taku Chaza broke two records in the 12 year old age group, the 100m breaststroke(1.16.55) and the 100m fly (1.03.78). The last record fell to Beth Watmore in the girls 14 years 50m breaststroke with a time of 35.78.
Gold medallists for Kelly in this second weekend of swimming were: Taku Chaza, Jake Bentley, Bethan Davie, Milly Furneaux, Georgia Jones, Cara Layden, Nathan Linden, Thomas McLagan, Melissa Murdoch, Leah Picillo, Stephanie Reynolds, Ben Staig, Polly White and Oliver Willis.
