THE Spooners and West Dartmoor hunt point to point horse races take place at Cherrybrook near Tavistock on Easter Saturday, April 7.

The first race starts at 1pm. The clerk of the course is predicting good going which should provide an excellent days racing.

Several entries have been received in the Maiden race which the organisers have split into two divisions making a total of seven races on the day.

Jopero, the winner or the Confined Hunts race at Kilworthy, has been entered for the same at Cherrybrook.

In the Intermediate race the Heard family will be hoping that Googoobarabajagal will go one better this week, in the same race Gorteen wood steps up having won the Restricted at Kilworthy.

There are all the usual attractions including bookmakers, bar, catering, trade stands and good viewing. Admission car and driver is £10, additional adult passengers £5 (children free).
