BERE Alston Trekker and member of the Wheelie Dartisderz Rockin Bikes Andrew Bowden ran the Bideford 10 miler as part of his winter training in a time of 1 hour 11 minutes 28 seconds. It followed his strong showing in last month’s Tavy 7.

There were more than 300 runners taking part in the glorious weather. The route headed out from Bideford towards Instow and Yelland, then back along the estuary for a finish in the town centre.

Fellow Bat Matthew Head ran the Lordshill 10 in Southampton.  Matt set a goal of 67.30 and achieved a superb chip time of 65.30. Lai-Yin Wong and Matt Luckham completed the Templar 10 in 1.54.05 and 1.35.02 respectively. Organised by Teignbridge Trotters the 10 miler took runners through the grounds of Stover School near Newton Abbot.
