TAVISTOCK brothers Edward and Oliver Smart were selected to represent Great Britain at the recent Biathle World Tour Championships in Setubal, Portugal last month.

Both boys delivered impressive swimming and running performances in very hot and challenging conditions.

Edward, 14, competed in the largest field of the day in the Youth C boys’ race and came an excellent third place to secure a bronze medal for his individual performance.

Oliver, 12, delivered a dominant performance in the Youth D Boys race winning a gold medal and beating the second placed competitor by nearly six seconds. This is one better than the silver medal he won at last year’s European Championships. Both boys also compete in running and swimming as individual events and look forward to the new season starting in September.
