THE Tavistock Hockey Club U15s girls side is celebrating the completion of a great season.

On Friday, March 23, the team took part in the last set of fixtures for this season, battling, as was often the case this year, very wet and cold weather conditions.

It was not only the bad weather that the girls had to regularly face, but very tough, highly skilled and competitive opposition from teams from across the region.

Despite the challenges, in over 30 encounters they only lost two games, conceding a mere four goals in the entire season while scoring over 50.

This goes to show the capability they have displayed across all the positions on the field, from goalkeeping and defending to midfield and attacking skills.

All in a warm and friendly sporting spirit, always leaving egos off the pitch and performing in unison as one determined team.

Such a brilliant accomplishment would not have been possible without the relentless support and guidance from the Tavistock Hockey Club coaches, who have been always there getting the best out of the talented players.

The club expressed a big thank you to all involved, not forgetting the dedication of the parents. The club also gave a big well done to the Tavistock U15 girls hockey team.
