ON Sunday Okehampton Hockey Club's under 12 boys' team travelled to Marjons to play in the next round of the Devon Leagues.
Their first game against Isca was an even contest with both sides having their chances to win the game.
Okehampton took the lead early in the game, but were unable to stop Isca leveling the scores with a breakaway goal.
In the second game they were against the hosts Marjons who were a much bigger stronger side, and though Okehampton defended well, in the end they were well beaten.
The final game against Ashmoor A was an exciting 'end to end' game with the young Okehampton 'keeper making some outstanding saves.
Sadly in the dying moments a cruel deflection resulted in the only goal for the game for Ashmoor A.
The young Oke side has progressed well so far this season and will be looking forward to more games in the New Year with anticipation.
