THE prestigious Bere Alston Mixed Fours’ Tournament took place in brilliant sunshine on Sunday.
The defending champions Jeff and Jenny Biagott and Brian and Jenny West from Plympton were among those taking part.
The winners this year were Penny Leaver, Liz Blowey, Edwin Blowey and Steve Maiden from Kensey Vale Bowling Club, Launceston.
As well as the Mixed Fours Trophy the winners picked up a cheque for £100.
In second place David Cole, Sue Ashton, Janet Moyse and Jim Ashton from Saltash Bowling Club collected a trophy and £60.
In third place Lyn Pill, Marice Pill, Sara Quayle and Stuart Evans from Plymouth Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club collected £40 and in fourth Mandy Jones, Rosalind Redfern, Alan Jones and Michael Pearce from Callington Bowling Club collected £20.
