BERE Alston really played well after the first 10 minutes when both teams took it in turns to pass to each other and only brave keeping by Mark Webber saved Will Westlake's blushes.

Bere settled down and a long range shot by Will Westlake skidded off the pitch for Polperro keeper to spill the ball into the net. Bere were now well on top and James Baker and Euan McCall were running the midfield. Alex Lowe was played in and he stepped outside his marker to smash home.

Bere dominated the second half and only some poor finishing kept the score down. Alex Lowe smashed home for goal number three and Ashley White chipped the ball over the keeper for the fourth. Now Bere's players virtually queued up to miss or the woodwork came to Polperro's rescue. With the last kick of the game, Polperro scored after a goal mouth scramble.
