Bere Alston United 3

Millbrook 2

AGAINST a strong Millbrook Bere Alston played well but still shot themselves in the foot by turning off for a few minutes in the second half. James Follett though hit a screamer for Bere to lead one-nil at the break.

Inside of three minutes of the restart Bere found themselves 2-1 down due to poor concentration. The home side rallied and took control pushing the Millbrook team back. James Follett used his speed to race clear and score. Millbrook's keeper kept the score level before Bere's sub Brett Charlick threaded a ball to Alex Lowe who scored foar a deserved three points.

Liskeard Athletic 4

Bere Alston United 4

THEY say lightning cannot strike twice in the same spot but for the second week Bere Alston let a four-one lead slip by making substitutions. Alex Lowe raced clear to score and ten minutes later Liskeard equalised for 1-1 at half time.

Almost immediately from the restart James Follett cut across the pitch to score a peach from 30 yards leaving the keeper stranded. Alex Lowe caused Liskeard all types of problems with his bravery, skill and pace. Lowe scored his hat-trick from the edge of the box under pressure by Liskeard's keeper; while flat out he threw a foot at the ball to score.

Three substitutions resulted in Bere Alston completely losing their shape only to be compounded by centre half, Jason Clancy, to get an ankle injury. Bad mistakes by both full back resulted in a 4-4 score line.
