BELSTONE Cricket Club's annual meeting will be held at Belstone Village Hall at 8pm on Tuesday, March 6. All players, vice presidents, supporters and anyone who would like to join are welcome to attend.

The following week the cricket gets underway with the start of a new indoor six-a-side competition organised by OCRA at the Old Sportshall, Okehampton College. For five Thursday evenings from 15 March Belstone will be joining Chagford, Bridestowe, Okehampton, Hatherleigh and Lewdown for an hour of intensive play. n Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 are NatWest CricketForce volunteering days when players and supporters come along to the Rew Meadow ground to get it in shape for the season – turn up for a fun day of painting, rolling, cutting and digging, interspersed with plenty of refreshments.

n The club's shirts and sweaters are to be sponsorsed by Budgens, the family-owned convenience store, restaurant and BP service station at Whitehouse Services.

After their promotion last year, Belstone are looking forward to competing in division three of the North Devon League, with Sunday games against North Devon seconds, Sandford seconds, Shobrooke Park, Bratton Fleming, Bideford seconds, Holsworthy and Newton Tracey seconds. In the ever-popular and Buckley Cup 20-over mid-week evening games Bridford are joining the regular teams this year.
