TEN Bere Alston Trekkers took part in the Chris Reason Tribute Run at Newnham Park.

In memory of a friend and loyal staff member of 18 years at Frank Elford Sports who sadly died last August aged 39, the run was held as a tribute run and fun run for everybody to enjoy.

There was a one mile fun run but the main focus on the day was the five mile run/walk through the Newnham park estate with a theme of Noddy for optional fancy dress. 

The route which was mostly off-road and through the woods, was hard going as it was steep and muddy in places but the atmosphere and the reason for the event pushed all the runners on, although everyone was grateful that the usual river crossings of this run were left out. The emphasis was on enjoyment and helping Chris's family.

Participants who completed the main run received a lovely memento.

No results were produced, no individual, team or category prizes were awarded as this run was all about Chris.
