THE Bere Alston Trekkers were pleased to support the inaugural Tavy Trio of Tors fell race this week, hosted by Tavistock Athletic Club and Tamar Trails Runners.
There were two shorter junior races, which were well attended, as was the over 16’s race which started at a misty Pew Tor before heading to Vixen Tor, following tracks and crossing the leat before crossing a road and up to Middle Staple Tor, running the ridge to the boundary stone, on to Roos Tor, across to Cox Tor, a fast downhill to Pork Hill carpark and finishing back at Pew Tor. This had a total distance of 9k with a total of 340 metres of ascent.
