ON Sunday 19 Bere Alston Trekkers (BATs) made the short journey to Tamerton Foliot, near Plymouth, for the Lopwell Loop, a 12 kilometre road run around picturesque country lanes hosted by Storm Plymouth.

Starting at Mary Dean’s Primary School in Tamerton Foliot, the hilly challenging course winds its way down to Lopwell Dam before heading back up towards the finish at the school.

The results and finishing times were not available as the Times went to press but Murray Turner was the first male BAT to finish and Tanya Argue first for the lady BATs. The other BATs who ran were Debbie and Paul Ashton, Pauline Cole, Gary Fielder, Mel Greaves, Sam Harte-Latremouille, Hilary and Martin Head, Natasha and Shaun Hingston, Eleanor Johnson, Pete Kenvin, Jim Medhurst, Kate Medhurst, Jane Morton, Julie Page and Kelly Shaw.
