TAVISTOCK Squash and Racketball Club held the delayed finals of their annual handicapped competition the John Jameson Trophy.

In the main competition Andy Howell beat Matt Smith. After two games the match was 1-1 and could have gone either way. With variable handicaps being used Andy had to use all his experience to put Matt under pressure and force the errors when it mattered to win 3-1. In the plate competition Steve Luxton beat Mike Benstead to take the trophy. The match swung from one player to the other and at 2-2 neither player was in control. With some fine shot making in the decider though, Steve came through to take the match 3-2.
