THE Tavy Club in Tavistock held its Andy Hicks snooker night on Friday when the former World Championship semi-finalists playing 18 frames against local players.
The snooker professional did not disappoint with four century breaks of 118, 113, 103, and 132 and also chipped in with seven breaks over 70.
There were good performances from Duanne Carruthers from the Conservative Club and Kevin Rich from the West Devon club who early in his frame was 34 ahead of andy but a missed red left Andy his chance and he cleared with an 86 break. However, it was this performance which deservedly won Kevin 'the player of the night' award.
Three youngsters had the experience of playing a professional - Reece Watters, Bradley Anderson and Aaron Ide, who won the shot of the night which was chosen by Andy.
Organisers at the Tavy Club thanked Andy and the two qualified snooker referees, Jeff Fox and David Dickinson, for a great night enjoyed by many.
