THERE was little to choose between these two sides, and the home team can take credit from sharing the points with a team that has not lost in 12 matches.
Tavistock missed a great chance to take the lead in the opening minute, when Jarryd Kelly raced clear, to round goalkeeper Dan Pen-Collins, but his shot went inches wide of the post.
In the second half, Kelly forced another great save out of the visitor's keeper, with a fierce drive from 18 yards. The same player then broke clear and he chipped the keeper only to see his effort come back off the post.
It was the turn of the home keeper Jamie Blatchford to shine, pulling off a great save from a Carl Power-Thomas free kick. He then followed this with a fine save from a Scott Wellington header. Both sides continued to attack looking for the winner, as play flowed from end to end, but the final whistle went the score line remaining goalless.
This was a good performance by a young reserve team, and over the 90 minutes they just about edged the scoring chances. However to take a point from a team in fourth position in the league is a good display, and bolds well for the future.
