OKEHAMPTON were away to South Molton this week on a glorious sunny Mother's Day, with a small squad of nine players taking on South Molton U9s and U10s.
The team came away with a fine win after an all round impressive performance with strong defence, good tackling and rucking for the first time this season. Tries scored were two from the consistent Leon Horn, two from Joseph Stratton, two from Simon Moody, one from Edward McCarthy and one from the ever-improving Adam Wonnacott, who displayed a strong run going through the pack for a fine try.
Okehampton plays away to Teignmouth this week.

OKEHAMPTON U10s returned from Crediton victorious for the second time this season in a hard fought fixture against a strong Crediton side, who took the lead with two well worked tries in the first period.
Strong play from Joe Mawle, Liam Pyle and Matthew Stoner, who had one of his strongest games of the season, kept Okehampton in the contest until an excellent tackle from Daniel Thorne set up a try for Finn Fallon-Clark. Crediton hit straight back with a try. Joe Mawle ripped the ball from a maul to drive over the gap again.
Okehampton started the second period strongly with Liam Pyle scoring the equaliser. Weak tackling let Crediton take the lead until Patrick Beacom scored to tie the game once more.
Okes took the lead in the third period with Joe Mawle ripping the ball from the opposition to score. Crediton came straight back again with a try. From the kick off Daniel Thorne took the ball and wove through to score another try only for Crediton to hit back once more. Okehampton began to dominate, Joe Mawle driving in to set up a ruck from which Daniel Thorne drove over for his second try, then third to secure the win.
