THANK you for the article last week encouraging people to attend our Tavistock Rotary Club weekend in aid of stroke prevention.
On Saturday, 84 people came in to have their BP checked in the town square in an ideal trailer, kindly lent by Youthwize. Thanks too to the town council for lending us the prime spot and the nurses for their time!
I cynically thought ?Fun Run? was misnamed but yet again am proved wrong! 40 runners on Sunday with 28 doing the seven miles run (first was Pierre who works for the West Devon Borough Council, from where it was run); and 15 the one and a half mile run of mainly under 11s plus parents, and me! Children and adults all enjoyed it.
Great help from Tavistock Athletics Club ? come to their jogging evening on Tuesdays 6.15pm for 6.30pm meeting at Tavistock College classroom E10 opposite the main entrance from April 29 ? beginner or expert, £1/session.
