MY heart sank when I read in last week's paper about the proposed removal of the double yellow lines outside the old Woolworths store.
Tavistock has a largely elderly population, many of whom will have mobility problems and hold a blue badge (myself included), and find that the disabled bays always seem to be full and the area in question provides a welcome spot to park and is much used by disabled drivers.
On behalf of all disabled drivers, please don't take away a very valuable parking area, life is difficult enough as it is, and if we cannot park, we will have to return home where we spend many hours as it is.
Name and address supplied.
