THE OKEHAMPTON arts project ?Nice Warm Socks?, run by the Wren Trust has made it through to the finals of the National Lottery Awards and will attend a glitzy ceremony, hosted by Dale Winton and other high profile celebrities. If they win, the organisation will receive the title of Best Arts Project, as well as a cash prize. Nice Warm Socks created a CD of 17 interactive songs, designed to help children with learning difficulties to gain self-confidence. It has been used by teachers across Britain, as well as in mainland Europe and America.
