ARTISTS from South Zeal, Sticklepath and nearby villages will be among a dozen or so exhibiting their work in the gallery at the Country Lanes Garden Centre, Okehampton this month.

Organised by the Chagford Art Group, the exhibits will include a wide range of work by artists who use oils, watercolour, gouache and other media and have established their reputations with sales in Europe, America, Canada and the Caribbean. The exhibition runs from April 10 to 24.

The organising art group itself has established a reputation for excellence over the past 28 years that attracts visitors form abroad to its own annual summer exhibition.

Its members meet each week in Chagford where they encourage other artists, from beginners to the more experienced, to develop their work further with the aid of occasional visiting professional artists.
