WORK has started on installing a new trumpet stop on the church organ at Buckland Monachorum.
The work is being paid for by funds bequeathed to the church by the late David Trahair, who was a member of the congregation for more than 50 years.
With the organ builders on site the church is taking the opportunity of installing a matching trombone stop on the pedal section — and also carrying out some other essential work to make the rear of the organ more secure.
Most of the cost of this additional work has already been donated — but a further sum of £1,372 is needed. Specific donations are invited for this work. If you can help please contact the vicar, Rev G M Cotter.
