TAVISTOCK Hockey Club's second team started well in this friendly. Wood scored the first goal within ten minutes.

Tavistock kept the pressure on the opposition and for a change the defence had little to do. But the forwards found plenty of space and it was just a matter of time before the next goal was scored.

By half-time Barrat Jnr, Frampton and N.Kelly were all on the scoresheet.

At the interval, captain Moyse gave a positive team talk, deciding to play a more attacking second half.

This would pay off as Glanville playing forward gave the attackers the strong hits they needed to get in behind the home side's defence.

The PGs goalkeeper conceded a further four goals. N Kelly finally scored his hat-trick, the third goal a great individual effort. Mackintosh and Roomes also added to the tally.

This was a good team performance from Tavistock and after this morale boosting win they are looking forward to the next league match.
