POLICE are appealing for witnesses or information about an attack that took place in Bere Alston.

A 16-year-old male was approached from behind by his attacker then hit about the head and body with a bat or something similar.

The attacker then ran away. The victim was left with bruising to the head and body.

The incident took place on Saturday, November 29, around 8.30pm to 9.30pm.

The attacker was described as wearing a blue waist-length jacket with the hood up.

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to contact PC Graham Callender or PC Suzanne Gould at Tavistock Police Station.
