TAVISTOCK police are appealing for witnesses after a black Ford Sierra was abandoned and set alight in the council-owned car park Pixon Lane at 5pm last Sunday.
A police spokesman said there were a number of people in the area at the time, and anyone who thinks they may be able to help police with their enquiries should come forward.
A quick thinking passer-by, armed with a camera, took this dramatic picture just moments before a fire crew arrived.
