Bideford 37
Tavistock 7
AFTER three league wins in a row Tavistock travelled to Bideford hoping to continue their winning run. However they were to be disappointed losing by five tries to one.
The consolation for Tavistock was that they had been forced into a number of changes prior to the game with a number of key players unavailable.
Tavistock performed well in the first half and got to the break at thirteen points adrift, but the wheels came off their performance conceding a further four tries.
Bideford's first half scores came from a try from Chris Snell and a conversion and two penalty goals from Ollie Wickett.
Bideford pulled away in the second half with tries from James Stanley, Ollie Wickett, James Buckland and Mark Slee, together with a further two conversions from Ollie Wickett.
Tavistock did grab a consolation try via full back Andy Wright which was converted by David Goodspeed.
This Saturday Tavistock are at home in the Cornwall and Devon League. Kick off 2.30pm.
