CALSTOCK Parish Council has objected to plans to erect a 50kw wind turbine at St Ann's Chapel, because members said it was inappropriate development in the ANOB.

The turbine, which would stand between 100ft and 120ft high, is for land at Salters Farmhouse, Whiterocks Park, and the application has been made by Chris Facey.

The council was told that the AONB office had not been informed of the plans, which was 'ludicrous'. Members were unhappy over the height of the structure and felt they could not support it anyway if the AONB had not been consulted.
