AN Okehampton-based solicitors firm is taking part in Hospiscare Will Week from May 16 to May 20.

Every year a number of Devon-based law firms will draw up a will free of charge in exchange for a donation to Hospiscare. Stones Solicitors will be taking part in the annual fundraiser.

The charity provides dedicated expert care and support for local people with a terminal illness. They offer support at home as well as in-patient care at their Exeter hospice.

Alison Palfrey, director of fundraising for Hospiscare, stressed that people using Will Week did not need to leave a donation to the charity in the will itself.

She said: 'We absolutely appreciate that families come first. But for anyone who does want to consider a charity donation in their will, it is important to remember that any amount, small or large is appreciated.

'Every pound helps us to fund local nurses who visit patients at home, bringing expert care and comfort at a crucial time.'

Anyone wishing to make a will during Hospiscare Will Week can phone Stones on 01837 650200. Guidance donations in lieu of fees are £80 for a single will, £120 for a mirror will and £45 for a codicil to an existing will.
