AFTER disappointment against Bow, where Okehampton failed to score, they got back on track against a physical Chumleigh.
Okehampton have been reshufflling over recent weeks trying to find a good balance and on this performance they cannot be far away. On a bumpy pitch Okehampton played some neat possession football and with a strong wind in their favour they dominated the first half.
Okehampton took the lead with a penalty with the home defender handling a Chris Wills running chip into the box. Chris Wills converted the kick with the home side complaining bitterly.
Wills scored the second after a nice touch from Chris Drew with the midfielder finishing coolly.
The second half saw the home side press more with the wind but Okehampton?s back four defended superbly, getting lots of bodies behind the ball when needed.
Richard Bailey coped confidently and his talking gave his defence great reassurance when needed.
Wills capped a fine performance with a third goal after another fine link up with Drew, firing home with a classy strike. Chumleigh had a central defender sent of for a clumsy tackle on James Callaghan.
This Saturday away to Bow, 3pm kick-off.
