SOUTH West Lakes Trust staff at Burrator have developed a series of exciting themed sessions for their new family wildlife watch programme, which will include bug hunting, pond dipping, seed gathering, fungi exploring and looking out for bats, plus much more.

This programme has been developed in response to requests from families to have events where parents can learn with their children.

The next family wildlife watch session will take place this Sunday, Mother's Day, from 10.30am to 12.30pm when animal tracks and signs will be explored, followed by hot chocolate and marshmallows!

The event is suitable for children up to the age of 12 and those who attend must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please meet at 10.30am in the tool yard across from Burrator Lodge — bring a jumper, waterproofs and wear footwear you don't mind getting muddy. Booking is recommended and there is a cost of £1 a person.

Family wildlife watch sessions will happen on Sundays, with the exception of April where it will take place on Easter Monday.

For more information and bookings please call Burrator heritage learning officer Emily Cannon on 01822 855700 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
