MILLENNIUM Schools of Martial Arts last month welcomed yet another Black Belt into its family.

Will Hine, who trains at the Tavistock club, achieved his ultimate achievement and passed his black belt grading which was held recently in Swindon.

Will has been training in the art of Taekwon-do for eight years and to top off the fact that he received his personalised black belt at the weekend; he was also presented the award for indomitable spirit.

Indomitable spirit in Taekwon-do terms is shown when a courageous person and his principles are pitted against overwhelming odds.

Will's instructor Merwyn Davis said: 'I'm so proud of Will, he truly deserves his black belt and in my mind he has been a black belt in attitude and presence for a while now, long before he passed.'

Millennium Schools of Martial Arts train on a Monday and Wednesday at Tavistock College and Tuesdays and Thursdays at Crunch Gym, Launceston.
