PEOPLE living in Okehampton and the surrounding area are being invited to choose a new name for their hospital.
The Mid Devon Primary Care Trust is inviting Times readers to chose from three options:
l Okehampton Community Hospital
l Okehampton Hospital
l Okehampton Centre for Health
Jane Barr, Okehampton locality manager with Mid Devon Primary Care Trust, said: ?We would like local people, patients and staff to get involved with choosing the name because we recognise that the hospital belongs to the community, which should have its say.?
She said the trust also needs to choose a name for the new medical inpatient ward and would welcome ideas.
?Suggestions should avoid the names of any individual, business or organisation,? said Ms Barr.
Anyone wanting to help choose the name for the new hospital or the ward should see the advertisement published in the Okehampton Times today, and again next week.
