I AM prompted to write having recently discovered the superb Wharf venue.

What a superb ambience and selection of entertainments are on offer. It?s well worth the trip out from Plymouth.

There is however one huge annoyance. On the last two occasions the visits have been marred by a need to queue for some 15 minutes in order to get a drink at the bar.

The location and outdoor drinking terrace beside the canal is a wonderful spot for chilling out and having a chat before a performance, but what a queue just to get a drink.

Given good service, there are few places in Tavistock that would be as pleasant a spot for a tipple before an act as the Wharf.

This current simple to solve management issue must be costing the Wharf a lot of hard cash, as many people were discussing where else to have a drink before the next attendance at the Wharf!
