Kelly College girls 6
Truro College girls 1
HOSTS Kelly got off to a slow start and not playing to their full potential. Truro had some strong players and were passing the ball well in a threatening manner.
By half time the score was 0-0 with the match evenly balanced - both sides had made penetrating breaks but no goals resulted.
Soon after the interval Kelly opened the scoring with a goal after advantage was played but Truro retaliated with a tight goal from a short corner. Kelly rose to the challenge with better passing and scored a straight strike by Kate Eadie. After loose play from a short corner, Georgie Killingbeck scored a superb goal in top left corner of the net.
From this point onwards, Kelly kept possession with some good feeds from back by player of the match Gem Murphy and Annie Court. Two satisfying goals were made by Sophie Bassett. With seconds before the whistle, the ball was laid off to Chrissie Corlet in a good position to sweep onto the backboard to score the sixth and final goal for Kelly.
Kelly College girls U15s 2
Plymouth College girls U15s 2
A GOOD game with both teams working hard to get possession of the ball. The Kelly girls started to create some good linking play up the pitch which allowed Molly Limb to score her first goal of the season. The defensive skills of Bryony Christmas and Emma Davidson were good and the team had a strong team spirit.

Plymouth College girls U13s 1
AN excellent result for this junior team. Becks Earp had a tremendous game and scored a hat-trick to really dominate this game.
The strong defensive skills of Daniela Wetten, Sophie Whitfield and Amy Lloyd were consistent and it was apparent that the opposition could not break through the determination of the Kelly pupils. The girls are linking well on the pitch and this is evident in their strong attacking play formation.
Kelly College girls U12s 2
Plymouth College girls U12s 2
A good result for this team as the Kelly pupils were two goals behind and so did extremely well to get themselves back in the game and in the last few minutes started to look like the dominant team.
Eve Lindsey played well and with Isobel Germon running all over the pitch, the opposition could not find a gap between these two players. Molly Sellers played well and with Phoebe Jourdan having some good runs up the pitch it was not long before Kelly were back on form.
l OKEHAMPTON boys' U14s hockey team played in the next round of matches in the Devon hockey league on Sunday. Playing at Exeter University the boys started the first game against Plymouth Marjon with real determination and some excellent attacking play.
Josh Balsdon scored early in the game to give Oke's the lead. The team battled hard to score a second goal with Lewis Day working hard in midfield and Dom Wooldridge making some good runs down the wing. However, a good strike from a Marjons player gave the Oke defence no chance, and the game ended in a draw.
Next up were ECV Hornets and this was a hard game. Both teams worked to gain the advantage, but there were no goals, and so this game too ended in a draw. The young Okehampton side was beginning to enjoy their hockey more and more and their positive team spirit came to the fore against Ashmoor. Ed Howard controlled the defence, and linked well with Scott Bending in the midfield to feed the ball to the forwards. Josh Balsdon took his chance well to score Oke's opening goal, and Jaden Read, who improves with every game, had some good runs and tackled back well to support his defence. Determination again paid off for Oke towards the end of the game as Balsdon added a second to win 2-0
Oke finished the day with two 1-0 losses, against Isca A and Isca B sides. Devon U14 League.

OKEHAMPTON settled well and initially played in attacking style with left wing Rachel Williams making some surging runs but strong tackling from White Eagles thwarted any goal scoring chances.
Oke's pressure resulted in them being awarded two penalty corners which they were unlucky not to convert into goals.
White Eagles grew in confidence forcing Oke's half-backs Isobel Higgs and Molly Petherbridge to mark their wings tightly and stop them from penetrating the Oke circle. The pace of the game intensified. Oke were awarded a penalty corner moments but were denied with a strong clearance.
Exe U14s girls 4
Okehampton U14s girls 0
OKEHAMPTON were forced to defend throughout the match with Tara Davidson and Willemijn Rademaker tackling strongly in midfield and intercepting any lose ball. Both Oke full-backs Katie Adams and Meg Higgs had exceptional games marking tightly and making decisive tackles against the experienced Exe attack. The outstanding Oke player was goalkeeper Odette Gardiner who saved numerous hard shots on goal.

OKEHAMPTON left half Holly Davidson passed some perfectly placed passes to forward Alice Rubbra who was unlucky not to beat her opposing keeper.
Right wing Amber Davey-Wright showed her speed, flying past the ECVH defence but could not find the back of the net.
Oke's winning goal came after a well worked passing sequence - Holly Davidson won the ball and fed a neat pass to left wing Raychel Williams, she crossed the ball into the circle to Willemijn Rademaker who skilfully beat a defender before passing to sister Lisalotte, who was perfectly placed to net the ball and score the winning goal.
