TWENTY Japanese students from Edogavva City in Tokyo are currently in Tavistock on an exchange trip to learn about the town and improve their English.
The trip is a collaboration between the Edogavva Youth Wings Programme which is sponsored by the mayor of the city and Tavistock College.
The students are being hosted by Tavistock families and many of the Tavistock students involved have already been to Japan on an exchange visit.
A special reception was held last week to welcome the students and was attended by mayor of the town David Whitcomb.
The itinerary consisted of English language classes in the morning and visits to local attractions in the afternoon.
