CHILD Labour is wanted over the half term week, February 16-20, at a local open-air museum.

Morwellham Quay is seeking children of good character, ready to work hard, be prepared to rise early in the morning and hand over all their earnings to their parents.

?Child Labour Wanted? is the title of a special set of half-term activities aiming to bring families closer to the lives of their Victorian counterparts and to have a lot of fun as well.

Children can choose between rope making, lime burning, the dressing floor ? where ore from the mines was broken and sorted ? life on the farm and a maid?s life, as well as journeying deep underground on the George and Charlotte Mine tramway.

Parents, relatives and friends can join in too, and on Sunday, February 15 and Sunday, February 22 there will be special guided walks. For the rest of the week all the trails, the cottages and workshops will be open. For more information, call 01822 832766.
