FAMILIES in the German twin town of Celle were recently visited by their Tavistock friends. Celle saw 18 members of Tavistock Twinning Association enjoy a four-day visit. The trip included exclusive tours around the new town hall in Celle where they were treated to a mayoral reception, and a look around the shipyard, which was first used in 1740. Despite bad weather, everyone enjoyed the sights of Berlin, and saw the Reichstag, and the site where the Berlin Wall was destroyed, before the trip culminated in a farewell dinner (pictured above). Plans are already being made for next year, when Celle Twinning Association visit Tavistock.
