DID Santa bring you what you wanted, or will some of your gifts never see the light of day?

Perhaps you already know those bath salts will bring you out in a rash, or maybe that sweater will never fit — even after your New Year diet kicks in!

For whatever reason, many people have Christmas presents that clutter up the house or make them feel guilty about still having them unused by summertime.  But now's your chance to clear out your home, and conscience, at the same time — and help needy pets too.

Helen Lecointe of the Woodside Animal Welfare Trust said: 'Please let your unwanted presents help give our unwanted pets a future.  We generally have around 200 animals on site, over 17 species and with a wide variety of needs.  We must fundraise as much as possible to get them on the road to adoption and saleable gift items make a real difference to our work.

'If you have something that you will never get the use of, we'd be really grateful to receive it.'

Donations can either be passed into Woodside's Elfordleigh Sanctuary, or its charity shop in Tavistock.
