TAVISTOCK started strongly and a great cross from Jones saw Bammons fly in with a boot but unable to connect.
Play was fast and aggressive but great keeping from both sides frustrated the strikers. TCFC took the lead through Emily John went. A great run by Jones saw a cross to Weeks who battled her way through the defence and slid the ball across goal to see John flying in with a great finish. The pressure was on Tavistock's back four with some fast breaks and when they were caught upfield a lone striker evened the score.
The second half saw a high ball into the goalmouth and Stock tried to sweep it out of her goal but it found the back of the net. Maloney worked hard and a strong challenge saw the ball land with Weeks but again the shot was saved. TCFC tried to respond but another break saw a cracking shot make it 3-1.
Blowey took a corner and after some attempted clearances Hollie Shaw headed in. The last ten minutes were furious and Tavistock had their chances but luck was not with them. TCFC player of the match was Della Maloney.
TCFC ladies have a cup match at home this Sunday against Ilfra-combe, kick-off 2pm.
