DJM U15s Defiance

Tavistock Town U15s 2

Chaddlewood Miners U15s 0

PLAYING only their third league game in 12 weeks it was Tavistock's cutting edge in taking chances which was to prove the difference against a very physical Chaddlewood.

Tavistock were slow to get into the game but with Lane and Northmore slowly finding their feet in the centre of midfield, the chances started to come and a neat finish from Hancock from good work by Hicks gave them the lead.

Hicks then doubled the advantage when he turned well in the box and then produced a good finish. Tavistock should probably have added to the score with further chances for Hicks and Hancock, whilst in defence Holland was rarely troubled in the Tavistock goal despite periods of possession from Chaddlewood.

The half ended on a sour note when a poor challenge left Northmore with a badly gashed ankle and he limped off to play no further part in the game.

This meant a few positional changes in the second half with Quick playing in central midfield with Lane and Panter playing up front.

Panter should have extended the lead on a couple of occassions but could not find a finish to match some bright play.

Chaddlewood continued to have their moments but did not trouble the Tavistock goal as Rosser-Lewis and Hosking held firm for Tavistock. The win keeps Town top of the league.
