Winger Braithwaite opened the scoring early with a log run from half way to touch down under the posts. The try of the season so far came from skipper Vanstone who chipped over a flat defence from the half way line to race through two defenders and past the full back and gather to touch down. The third try, which sealed the win, came from prop Child who crashed over from 10 metres out. Many injuries reflected the physical nature of the game and Tavistock finished with barely 15 fit men and several players out of position. Wadebridge scored a late consolation try but it was scant reward for their efforts as they were tackled out of the game. Jed Bolt won the man of the match award after an all action display at flanker then second row with his tireless energy and high tackle count. Vanstone successfully converted two tries.
