A TRIAL date has been set for two men from Tavistock accused of blackmail and burglary.
Mark Stephens, 47, and Ross Lewis, 19, are charged with demanding money with menaces.
The pair allegedly made an unwarranted demand for £5,000 after threatening to expose a man to police as a paedophile on June 11.
Stephens, of Trinity Way and Lewis, of Springhill, are both further charged with burgling a home in the town.
They are said to have stolen a BB gun and cigarettes.
Neither man entered pleas when they appeared at Plymouth Crown Court over the video-link from Exeter Prison.
Judge Paul Darlow set down a provisional trial date of October 30.
Both men were remanded in custody to appear before the court for an interim hearing on September 23.
