THE Mary Budding Trust is due to hold an open garden day at Hotel Endsleigh to raise money for its ongoing work with children who have special needs.
The event, which will take place on Sunday from 11am till 5pm, will invite guests to enjoy the scenic gardens and take part in a treasure hunt.
The treasure hunt will be formed of question and letter clues which will help guests solve an anagram, everyone with the correct answer will have their names put into a hat.
The winner will be awarded a £100 token to be spent at Hotel Endsleigh on lunch, tea, dinner or accommodation.
The gardens at Endsleigh were set out by the landscape designer Humphry Repton.
They are Grade I Listed in English Heritage’s Register of Parks and Gardens of Specific Historic Interest.
As well as the maintained gardens, Endsleigh hosts a Norman Fir tree, classified as almost the biggest in England.
Proceeds from the event will be used by the Mary Budding Trust to support children 11 and under who have a range of special needs and who live in West Devon.
Further details about the charity can be found on their website www.marybuddingtrust.org.uk
