BERE Alston Primary School took part in the first leg of the school's cross country held at St Peter's, Tavistock last week.

After a schedule of training which has included training in the woods and running through the mud, the team were ready for the first leg of this years schools competition. 

The training paid dividends with the first boys and girls home in the top 20.  Dotty Allen from Bere Alston Trekkers said: 'Well done also to those runners who took part in the fun run and thanks to St Peter's for hosting the event.'
