A MEETING for everyone in Tavistock, Okehampton or West Devon interested in seeing a moor route train service restored is being held in Tavistock next week. West Devon and Torridge MP Geoffrey Cox will be attending the Tavistock 'Business Breakfast' on at 7.30am Friday, May 16. Richard Searight, founder member and chair of the Peninsula Rail Group, said: 'The Dawlish train disaster last winter re-opened the demands for an additional, weather resilient, line into the South West — in particular for the restoration of the old mainline running through Okehampton and Tavistock. The train debate is reaching a critical point. 'After a brief train update, Geoffrey Cox will let us know the "mood at Westminster" and his plans to advance the debate over this critical issue for our town and region. His talk will be followed by a question time and debate.' Breakfast will be paid for at the door. The meeting starts at 7.30am and will end at 9am.
