McCall had a left foot lob which beat the keeper but landed on the bar and at the other end Derbyshire, Smerdon, Johnson and Kelly were working very hard to keep Tavistock?s defence firm. Webber saved four shots at goal. Lyle and Bray both had chances which went just wide but it was Predators that took the lead two minutes before half time after taking a quick free kick which left Tavistock standing still. In the second half Tavistock came out fighting and took control of the match. McCall passed to Lyle who placed the ball in the back of the net. It was not long before McCall headed down to Bray who put the ball at Lyle?s feet and it was 2-1 to Tavistock. The Predators? keeper made a diving save from a McCall free kick which kept them in the game and there was a scare moments later when the opposition managed to get past the Tavistock defence, only to shoot wide when faced with an empty net.
