South division one Tavistock Hockey Club 3 East Devon Hockey Club 2 A series of unfortunate events left the men?s first team at the bottom of the South league table. However this weekend saw them triumph over top of the table East Devon team. With Tavistock?s captain Chris Vinson creating another formation the team was as strong as it was ever going to be. The scoreline was opened by Tavistock?s Jason Lovett, minutes later though EDHC put one past goalkeeper Neil Bradley. After a hard fought well disciplined approach to the second half by the home side, with several penalty corners being won and conceded Jack Hawkins increased the lead before teammate Damian Heard scored the winner. Tavistock then survived a last ditch defensive penalty corner before retiring from the pitch in high spirits for a well earned Christmas break. l Tavistock Hockey Club play at Kelly College?s all weather pitch on Saturdays.
