A TAVISTOCK firm has been selected as representative of the cream of commercial success under a new Business Link initiative.
The Beacon Company Network has named Superwinch Ltd as a one of its first flagship enterprises.
The network is intended to establish a portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses right across the region, who inspire best-practice and promote enterprising excellence.
By being willing to talk candidly about challenges and successes to their enterprises, Business Link hopes Beacon companies will provide inspiration for other local traders.
Superwinch's operations director Paul Jarvis said he was proud to see the company recognised for its longstanding commitment to best practice.
He said: 'We are moving to a new site in 2004 which has been planned and designed around what our staff have told us we need. I fully believe that I am at the bottom of the food chain and am here to support my staff, not the other way round.'
Superwinch Ltd has been running in Tavistock for 40 years and currently employs 40 staff.
