MEADOWLANDS Pool in Tavistock is inviting parents and tots to take the plunge and splash for cash this June, in aid of the baby charity Tommy?s.
Babies, toddlers and young children are sponsored to simply splash a width or length of their local swimming pool and have fun raising money for vital research into premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage.
It is Tommy?s biggest splashathon yet, with a record 900 pools across the country registered this year, aiming to raise £150,000 for the charity.
The event on Friday, June 11, is sponsored by chemist chain Boots and each young splasher receives a certificate to proudly display their achievement, plus the opportunity to win inflatable pool toys.
