A CHRISTMAS extravaganza takes place this weekend in Okehampton as the Courtenay Players perform their December production.

The show, called 'Tis the Season',will be performed in Okehampton's Charter Hall on December 10 and 11, with both performances starting at 7.30pm.

The first half of the show will be the new play, 'Last Panto in Little Okey', a rip-roaring chase through the rehearsals of a panto by a small drama group. The second half of the show will be the usual Christmas songs.

Tickets are on sale at Fairplace Church shop and cost £6 for adults and £3 for under 14s. Tickets include a drink and mince-pies.
